        Yesterday I watched the sunrise from thirty thousand feet.  It was spectacular and humbling at the same time.  What a blessing it is when we realize that God’s creation will never fail to both inspire us and leave us with a breath-taking sense of awe. I wonder though, why it should take such a grand display of beauty and power for us to recognize the true source of all things created.  Can we not see it in a simple spring flower pushing up through the frozen earth, or in the majestic arch of a rainbow in the afterglow of a warm summer rain?                                                                                              

          I am sure I have witnessed this miracle many, many times, but it is always new and glorious to me each and every time just as though I had never seen it before.                                                                                                     

          This is the true nature of our God. As scripture tells us He makes all things new, even and perhaps especially us!  As I witnessed that magnificent sunrise, I think I felt a bit of that renewing within myself.  If God can create such beauty and repeat it every day, just imagine what He can create and recreate in you and me. Tomorrow take time to watch the birth of a new day think about what kind of rebirth God might be doing in your life and be thankful.
