Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, there is just something about that name. We hear the name of Jesus spoken every day. Sadly, and to our collective shame, it is spoken more often than not as a curse word.
As I gathered this past weekend with over thirty men of God, that name was spoken, sung and shouted over and over again. It was repeated with Joy, with wonder and in deep, deep reverence. It was sung with excitement, honor and awe. It was spoken in prayer from the very depths of faithful hearts seeking more of Him.
There is something about that name, something deeper and more profound than I could ever begin to explain. For it is before that name that one day every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! It is by that name, that lives are changed, that every child of God can be ushered into the presence of the Father. It is by that name that eternity is granted to all who believe.
So, I urge you friends when you say the name of JESUS, say it in love, say it with a sense of deep reverence and awe, say it as though your eternal life depended on it. Say it in song, in the spoken word, in silent personal prayer, say it in the depths of your soul, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!!
