When I was growing up I was a very shy person who never understood how to hold up my end of a conversation. My mom always told me “If you can’t think of anything to say just talk about the weather.” Well mom, I have nothing more to say about the weather in January, except I don’t like it!
So, having that out of the way lets talk about my favorite subject, Jesus!! Obviously, I’ve outgrown my shyness and I could talk about Jesus all day long. How about you? Do you talk about Jesus? There is a passage in Marks gospel where Jesus tells the now cured, demon possessed man to, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” I think that passage might apply to most of us, because many of us have been released by Jesus from some demonic force, oftentimes one of our own making. So, as Jesus commands this man in Mark’s gospel to go and tell the story, perhaps He is telling us as well. Go home, go to the places where you live and work and play and tell someone what Jesus has done, and is doing in your life.
Remember, our personal witness is our strongest witness! Tell someone today, Jesus loves you, and there isn’t a thing you can do about it!! Go home and tell them so that they might come home to Jesus!
