This is the last day of 2025. Many choose to spend this day looking back, taking account of successes and failures. Others are making those new year’s resolutions which will last about three days on average, however, I believe God wants more than that for us. I think he would have us looking forward to a future that He has already planned for us.
The Apostle Paul reminds us: “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” So as this new year begins I encourage you to follow Paul’s example and forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead, press on toward the goal that calls you to a closer, deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus!
I pray that in this new year each of you would be drawn closer to Him every day, that you would realize and strive to attain the blessed future that God has planned for you, always moving forward the goal for which He has called you heavenward in Christ Jesus.
May God bless you in this coming year with an overwhelming flood of the joy of the Lord in your lives, in your heart and in your eternal soul!!
